Gregory Todd Mcfarland

Gregory Todd McFarland, 51, of Des Moines, Iowa formerly of Danville, passed away on Saturday August 13, 2016. Gregory was born in Danville on January 27, 1965 the son of Billy and Sylvia (Miller) McFarland. Surviving are mother Sylvia Switzer; step-mothers, Sue McFarland, Beverly Shaffer; brother, Stephen (Sue) McFarland of Carmel, IN; step-brothers, Michael (Carol) Forbeck of New Jersey, Brad (Lisa) Goetzelman of Chicago; step-sisters, Debbie Jorgensen of Danville, Pam Ringis of Westfield, IN; uncles, David Kluchar of Champaign Robert Kluchar of Danville; niece, Elyse (Mitch) Causey of Cicero, IN; nephews Blake McFarland of Indianapolis and Matthew McFarland of Carmel, IN. Gregory is preceded in death by his father Billy McFarland; step-fathers, Joseph Forbeck, Frank Switzer; and Grandmother Madeline Kluchar. Gregory graduated from Danville Highschool class of 1983 and in his spare time enjoyed watching the news and his favorite sports teams. A Celebration of Life Service for family will be held at 3pm on Sunday August 21, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion Street. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial be made to Central Iowa Shelter, 1420 Mulberry St., Des Moines, IA 50309.
