Gregory 'Greg' E. Sizer

Gregory "Greg" Eugene Sizer passed away suddenly at home due to heart complications on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Born on March 16, 1960, in Champaign, he was the son of Bruce and Wylma Sizer of Fisher. They preceded him in death as well as his older brother, Jeff Sizer.

Greg married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Cheryl Grant, on October 29,1983 in Urbana. They were looking forward to celebrating 40 years together in October. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Ashlie.

Greg is survived by his wife and daughter, sister, Kathleen Roush (Terry) of Mahomet; mother-in-law, Margaret Wallace of Fisher; 5 brothers-in-law; 6 sisters-in-law; 7 nieces, 10 nephews, and one great nephew.

A 1978 graduate of Fisher High School, Greg developed his entrepreneurial side at an early age owning his own lawn care business. He attended Parkland College in auto mechanics and formed his own auto repair business, TMS Autocare. He ran this business for nearly 40 years. Regular customers of Greg often became lifelong friends.

Greg loved working on home improvement projects and was an avid woodworker. He frequently gave back to the community and truly found joy in helping others. On the weekends you would find Greg working in the yard most Saturdays and enjoying an afternoon at the gun range with the boys on Sunday.

Greg was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Gregs life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Mahomet, Illinois 1102 Churchill Rd, Mahomet, IL 61853 on Sunday, August 6th from 3-7pm.
