Gregory Graves, 56, of Danville, passed away at 3:17 P.M., Friday, April 11, 2008 at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Samuel A. and Bertha May (Sears) Graves. He is survived by two brothers, Jeff (Cathy) Graves of Georgetown and Tim (Janet) Graves of Ridgefarm, many nephews and nieces, four special friends, Randy Carpenter, Mike Block, Mickey Hobbs, and Wayne Morris, all of Danville, and his faithful dog, Maggie. His father and mother preceded him in death. Greg was previously a pipefitter and retired in 1998. He was a member of Steamfitters and Plumbers Union Local 293. He also was a member of the Collison Masonic Lodge # 714 and the GAO Grotto of Danville. Greg was an avid hunter and fisherman. A celebration of life for Greg will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., with Pastor Randy Downing officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 14, 2008 at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7:30 P.M.
