Gregory Allen Kilgore

Gregory Allen Kilgore, 51, of Philo, formerly of Danville, died at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born October 19, 1953 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Joseph R. and Betty (Huffman) Kilgore. He is survived by: his mother- Betty Kilgore of Danville; 2 Sons- Brandon Allen Kilgore of Dallas, TX and Tyler Andrew Kilgore of Danville; 1 Daughter- Christina Marie Kilgore of Urbana,IL; 4 Step-Daughters- Shannon, Tiffany, Amanda, Gaylene; 10 Step-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters- Linda Briscoe of Philo, IL and Carol (Dick) Bates of Danville; and 2 Nephews- Todd Briscoe and Colin (Jamey) Briscoe. His father, maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death. Gregory was a 1971 graduate of Danville High School, then attended DACC for 2 years and Illinois State University for 3 years. He worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 10 years, was a member of Central Christian Church in Danville, and had been attending the Philo Presbyterian Church. He was an artist, and enjoyed music,gardening, and crafts. He also enjoyed woodworking, making things with his hands and building and flying remote control airplanes.
