Greg S. Moore

Cayuga, Ind. - Greg S. Moore, 68, of Cayuga passed away at 3:48 p.m. EST Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his residence.

He was born May 23, 1950 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Robert E. and Helen L. (Jones) Moore.

Greg married Shirley K. Nicholson on September 19, 1970 in Catlin, Illinois. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2003.

Survivors include two sons: Chris (Jessica) Moore of Indianapolis, Indiana and Ryan (Audrea) Moore of Holly, Michigan; three grandchildren: Ethan Moore, Adalyn Moore and James Moore; sister: Marcia Haga of Dana, Indiana; brother: Ken (Rhonda) Moore of Dana, Indiana; brother/sister-in-law: Richard (Carolyn) Nicholson of St. Charles, Missouri; niece: Kayla, and nephews: Josh, Chad and Adam.

Greg retired from General Motors in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He formerly worked at the Tilton, Illinois foundry prior to moving to Grand Rapids. Greg was a 1968 graduate of Catlin High School and a Southern Illinois University graduate receiving a Bachelor's in Forestry. He enjoyed watching Indiana University Basketball and Indianapolis Colts football. Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, spending time in Florida and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Greg's life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. EST Friday, December 14, 2018 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
