Gracie Parr

Danville Gracie Parr, 88, of Danville passed away on May 2, 2019 at Willowbrook Memory Care in Savoy, IL.

Gracie was born on October 1, 1930 the daughter of John M. and Grace A. (Farley) Barton in Havana, IL. She married Stanley Dale Parr on September 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2016.

Surviving children, S. Bruce (Lisa) Parr, Floyd Dale (Vicki) Parr, II; two sisters, Dorothy Page and Mildred Adams, grandchildren, Bryan (Windy) Wallace, Lukas (Jennifer) Parr, Lacey (Dave) Enyeart and Larken Parr, great-grandchildren, Daphnee Enyeart, Liam Enyeart, Delanee Enyeart, and Jaxon Parr, step-grandchild, Chris (Jennifer) Cork.

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stanley, daughter, Janine Wallace, and seven brothers and two sisters.

Gracie attended Crossroads Christian Church. She enjoyed spending her freetime working on craft projects like creating ceramic dolls and doll clothes as well as candle making. Most of all, Gracie enjoyed taking care of her family.

A celebration of Gracies life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 5:00 PM at the Crossroads Christian Church, 3613 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL with Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM prior to the service. Gracie will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery with her husband; Stanley. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
