Georgetown- Grace K. Peelman, 86, of Georgetown passed peacefully at her home with her husband by her side at 8:32 AM on Monday, March 4, 2013. She was born on April 5, 1926 in Lilbourn, MO to William and May McCoy Adams. She married Alvin Peelman on August 20, 1945 outside of Oxnard, CA. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Susan Allison, Cathy (Wayne) Warfel, and Liz Mann; five grandchildren, Todd Allison, Ted Allison, Kelly (John) Arthur, Nichole (Richard) Brehm, and Caleb Mann; two step-grandchildren, Susan (Jack) Skinner and Sheri (Jason) Hoppas; seven great-grandchildren; step-brother Les Stevens and step-sister, Mary Howard; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Dora. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Alfred Adams. Grace was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She had also been a lifetime member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown where she had also taught Sunday School. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A service to celebrate the life of Grace Peelman will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Steve Rutter will officiate. Entombment will follow the services at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, prior to the services.
