Grace Dale Yates

RIDGE FARM - Grace Dale Yates, 87, of Ridge Farm, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:40pm on February 5th, 2007, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village of Chrisman, IL. She was born on January 10th, 1920, in Sullivan, IL, the daughter of Osco Arnett and Susan (Ford) Arnett. Her parents, four brothers, & one sister preceded her in death. She will be missed by: her sister, Mable Hunton of Somerset, KY; her sisters-in-law, Lois Arnett of Danville & Gladys Arnett of Ridge Farm; and several nieces and nephews. She was member of Vermilion County Ladies Home Extension and the Horace Baptist Church. She worked at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village as a certified nursing assistant and activity director for twenty-two years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gospel music, reading her Bible, and was a wonderful caregiver to others. A celebration of Graces life will begin at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 8th, 2007, with an hour visitation beginning at 1:00pm at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Pastor Gary Farris will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Pilot Grove Cemetery in Ridge Farm. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Pleasant Meadows Christian Village at 400 W Washington Street, Chrisman, IL 61924.
