Grace 'Bette' Myers

Grace (Bette) Myers, 83, passed away at 4:29 p.m. Saturday September 19, 2009 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. She was the daughter of Harley and Grace Larrance of Ridge Farm and was born on November 24, 1925 in Danville, IL. She married Harold Myers on June 25, 1950 in Ridge Farm, IL. Bette is survived by her husband Harold of Georgetown, one son, David (Tonjia) Myers of Georgetown, one daughter Paula (John) Berlin of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Amanda (Dustin) Loeffler, Lauren (Harold Huckaba) Myers, Logan Myers, and Lisa Berlin; one great grandson, Ben Parker Loeffler; one brother Dale Larrance of Ridge Farm and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and special granddaughter Jenny. Bette was a member of Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting and worked in USFW many years. She spent much time with her grandchildren and enjoyed sending notes and cards to her friends. Bettes family would like to thank our special angel Suzanne Fisher for her love and care. A celebration of Bettes life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 23, 2009 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home with Pastor James Walker of Vermilion Grove Church Officiating. Visitation is 4pm - 8pm, Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting or Miss Piggy Fund for GREA.
