Grace A. Mcgilvrey

Grace Alice McGilvrey, 94, of Danville passed away at 10:42pm February 2, 2005 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 23, 1910 in Danville to Elmer and Alice (Long) Hibbs. She was married to Frank McGilvrey, who preceded her in death in 1977. Grace is survived by one son, Frank Mc Gilvrey, Jr. of Annapolis, MD; one daughter Carol (Dr. Stephen) Wilson of Danville, six grandchildren, Dan (Linda) Turpin of St. Louis, MO; Linda (Chris) White of Danville, Chris (Barbra)Wilson of Greensboro, NC; Betsy Wilson of Danville, Carrie (Eddie) Cunningham of Decatur IL; and Dawn Foy of Santa Fe, NM; and eight great-grandchildren, Kayla Wilson, Samantha White, Alexis White, all of Danville, Melissa Turpin of St. Louis, Larrisa Foy of Santa Fe, NM, Cara Mc Gilvrey and Meredith McGilvrey of Bowie, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Leo "Bo" Hibbs, and one grandson, Scott McGilvrey. Grace worked at S.S. Kresge Company and later obtained her beautician license and practiced in Terre Haute, IN. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, and reading.
