Gordon Daily

Gordon F. Daily Gordon F. Daily, 67, of Danville, made his way through Heavens Gates on September 6, 2007, at 7:20 a.m. at his residence in Danville surrounded by family and friends. He was born December 3, 1939 in Chrisman, the son of Fred and Pauline (Ayres) Daily. Gordon was married to Janet Bright, who he had been with since 1980. She survives along with his son Chuck (Courtney) Daily of Altadena, CA, daughter Angie (Kevin) Mahoney of Georgetown, step-daughter April (Jasen) Thompson of Danville, brothers Richard (Beth) Daily of Chrisman and David (Phyllis) Daily of Michigan, sister Beth Daily of Chrisman, grandchildren Hannah, Isaac, Tyler, Adin, and Iris, brother-in-law Tim Bright of Tilton, sister-in-law Susan Downing of Danville, and special friends Bill Thoma and Bob Downing. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents. Gordon was a firefighter in Danville for 27 years. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting, playing cards, especially rummy, antiquing, and building birdhouses. A Celebration of Gordons Life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 2 p.m., at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (Formerly Lakeside-Barrick) at 3550 N. Vermilion St. in Danville.
