Goldie Livingston, born on October 27, 1971, entered eternal rest on August 29, 2025, in Clinton, Indiana. Throughout her life, Goldie embodied the essence of kindness and dedication, particularly her role as an in-home caregiver. She brought not only her professional skills to those she cared for but also a warm heart and a nurturing spirit that will be remembered by many.
Goldie had a profound love for her family, always making them happy and spoiling her beloved grandchildren. Her joyous presence was felt deeply by her children, David (Megan) Bush, Kaylee (Rajay) McLean, and Makala Schutter, as well as by her partner, Frank Nelson. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Amair McLean, Keileigh Bush, Kay Ann McLean, and Zacarie McLean, creating treasured memories that will be everlasting.
A proud member of the Sterling Christian Church, Goldie demonstrated her strong faith and commitment to her community. She was known for her vibrant personality and immense love for life, often making memories at the beach and enjoying camping trips. Sports were a significant part of her life, as she took delight in cheering for the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Cubs, and Indiana Pacers, alongside her passion for stock car racing.
Goldie is survived by her loving mother, Greta Kiger, as well as her brothers, Mike Kiger and Shannon (Penny Freed) Kiger. Her family tree extends to include a nephew, Liam Freed, a niece, Lindsey Freed, and a great-nephew, Lenyx Franklin. Additionally, Goldie leaves behind numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends whose lives she touched with her compassionate spirit.
Goldie was preceded in death by her father, Mike Kiger, her sister-in-law, Deborah Kiger, her grandmothers, June Kiger and Bonnie Woody, her grandfather, Cortez Woody, her uncle, Delburt Morrison, and her aunts, Dorceea Morrison and Betty Osborne.
A Celebration of Goldie's life will be held on Thursday September 4, 2025, at 10 AM est. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's DeVerter Chapel 215 N Division Street, Cayuga, Indiana. Burial to follow at Thomas Cemetery. There will be a visitation at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center's DeVerter Chapel in Cayuga, Indiana, on September 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Goldie Livingston will be forever remembered for her unwavering love, her infectious laughter, and her deep-rooted commitment to family and friends. May her spirit continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved her.
