Goldie Bernice Ottinger

Eugene, Ind. - Goldie Bernice Ottinger, 92, of Eugene, passed away at 11:44 p.m. EST Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born May 5, 1923 in Blackhawk, Indiana, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Florence (Hughes) Tryon. Goldie first married John "Bill" Conrad. He preceded her in death in 1970. She later married Laurence Ottinger on January 26, 1980 in Fountain County, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, John(Linda)Conrad of Cayuga, Indiana and Jerry Dale (Ronda) Conrad of West Lebanon, Indiana; five grandchildren, Kye Sutliff of Eugene, Indiana; John B. (Hope) Conrad of Kingman, Indiana; Jenny L. Pippin of Perrysville, Indiana; Lisa (Paul) Hamilton of Cayuga, Indiana and Carrie Conrad of West Lebanon, Indiana; four great grandchildren, Zeb Pippin of Covington, Indiana; Erin (Kirby) Collins of Dana, Indiana, and Randi and Morgan Conrad both of Kingman, Indiana; one great grandson, Tate Wann; one brother, George (Barb) Tryon of Cayuga, Indiana. Goldie was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Simonton, and three brothers. Goldie retired from Steel Grip in Danville, Illinois. She enjoyed crocheting and working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Per Goldie's wishes, cremation was accorded. There will be no services.
