Gloria Lucille Wigley

Eugene, Ind. -- Gloria Lucille Wigley, 58, of Eugene, Indiana, passed away at 9:52 a.m. EDT Monday, October 29, 2007 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born January 3, 1949 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Dick Lewis and Eleanor Thompson Atkinson. She married Donald L. Wigley on July 3, 1965 in Eugene, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include: one son, Donald W.(Karen)Wigley, Sr. of Cayuga, Indiana; one grandson, D.J. Wigley of Cayuga, Indiana; mother in law, Doris Wigley of Eugene, Indiana; one sister, Anna(Randy)Lamb of Cayuga, Indiana; three brothers, George(Ramona)Rogers of Fishers, Illinois; Charles(Cheryl)Rogers of West Lebanon, Indiana and Richie Lewis of Danville, Illinois; five nephews, Terry(Ashley)Peterson of Clinton, Indiana; Charles Rogers of Urbana, Illinois; Bradley Rogers of Foofland, Illinois; Timothy Rogers and Charles Rogers both of Danville, Illinois; two nieces, Kristy Carpenter of Danville, Illinois and Jamie(Robert)Williams of Clinton, Indiana; two great nieces, Taylann and Kaitlyn Peterson both of Clinton, Indiana and one great nephew, Damion Williams of Cayuga, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Chuck Rogers; sister, Eleanor Teresa Rogers and her father and mother in law, Clarence and Freda Wigley. Gloria attended the Danville schools. She worked as a housekeeper for several years at the Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton, Indiana. Gloria enjoyed cake decorating, mushroom hunting, collecting salt & pepper shakers and spending time at the lake with her family and friends. Gloria was a huge Tony Stewart fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, November 1, 2007 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; officiating: Rev. William Lehman; Burial: Eugene Cemetery, Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the funeral home.
