Gloria Elaine Haskins

Gloria Elaine Haskins passed away February 23, 2018 in Canoga Park, California. Gloria was a long-time resident of California, living first in Simi Valley then Canoga Park. Gloria was born in Danville, IL on August 8, 1938 to Charles O and Edith (Redifer) Haskins. She was preceded in death by her parents; an older sister, Patty; two brothers, Charles Leland and George; and a niece, Brenda Harden. She is survived by a brother, Kenneth (Joan) Haskins Sr.; two nephews, Ken (Cathy) Haskins Jr. and Charles (Loretta) Anthony of Carson City, Nevada. Also surviving include her sister-in-law, Jeannette Haskins; a nephew, David Haskins; two nieces, Jean Haskins of Savoy, IL and Cheryl Haskins of Danville; and many great nieces and nephews. Gloria enjoyed a full life in California. She made an abundance of long-time friends at her work, in her community, and especially at her church. She also remained in close contact with her dear friends in Illinois, returning to visit whenever possible. She was an active member of the Chatsworth West United Methodist Church, in Chatsworth, enjoying the fellowship with her friends and church family. Gloria followed all types of sports, loved visiting with her good friends, and caring for her kittens. Gloria had a special love for all children and any animal. Gloria was laid to rest in Gordon Cemetery in Danville, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N.
