Danville - Glenna Long, 92, of Danville, passed away on May 27, 2014. She was born December 15, 1921 in Leader, CO the daughter of Guy and Clara (Coffman) Jones. She married William Long on January 22, 1942 in Danville; he has since preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bob) Hollen; her son, William (Susan) Long; her brother Guy (Clara) Jones; her sister, Edith Thompson; her grandchildren Jeffery Wallace, Joe (Shannon) Wallace, Brian (Katie) Long, and Justin Long; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas Wallace, Alex Wallace, and Olivia Long. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sisters, Rosalie Ritter and Guydella Rose. Glenna loved to travel and explore new places; before her husband William passed away they owned a mobile home, and they would travel all over the United States. They would also venture outside of the U.S. traveling to Hawaii, Ireland, and Switzerland. Glenna also enjoyed being at home, whether she was knitting, painting or just watching T.V. and cheering on the Illini. She loved playing games, and was no stranger when it came to bowling. Glenna worked in the ballest department of G.E. in Danville for 30 years and was a member of the Eastern Star and the Gao Grotto. Above all else, Glenna loved her family and she will be greatly missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. A celebration of Glennas life will be held at 2pm on Friday May 30, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. A visitation will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Glennas name to Pleasant Grove Bible Chapel.
