Glenn E. Keever Glenn E. Keever, 68, formerly of Oakwood, Illinois, passed away on August 19, 2010, at his home in Georgetown, Florida. Glenn was born February 26, 1942, in Danville, Illinois, to the late Sidney and Gladys Keever. He was also preceded in death by his brother Gilbert Keever. Glenn was educated in the Danville public schools, and earned his Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Illinois and his Masters in Education from Eastern Illinois University. At the time of his death, Glenn had just returned to Florida from attending his Danville High School Class of 1960 50th reunion. As a teacher, coach and administrator, Glenns great love was molding the lives of young people at Oakwood High School where he retired as Principal in 1994. Glenn was an avid sports fan and golfer. A memorial service was held on August 24, 2010, at the Live Oaks Golf and Country Club in Georgetown, Florida. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Jacquelyn (Cler) Keever, daughters Kimberly Keever and her husband Cameron Dobbins of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Kelly McClintock and her husband Mike Parker of Marietta, Georgia, grandchildren Brenna McClintock, Drew, Dillan and Spencer Parker, sister Shirley Sheets of Ingleside, Illinois, brother Jerry Keever of Jackson, Mississippi, father and mother-in-law, Paul and Cel Cler of Villa Grove, and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly. In remembrance of Glenns long relationship with Central Illinois, a further service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010. At 10:00 am the family will receive visitors at the Sunset Funeral Home at 105 East South Main Street in Oakwood, Illinois, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am presided over by Father Robert Hoffman. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at the Oakwood Cemetery. After the burial, family and friends are welcome to meet at the Possum Trot for a light lunch at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the contributions be made to the Oakwood Community Education Foundation, c/o Todd Lee, P.O. Box 654, Oakwood, Illinois 61858.
