Glenn D. Bassett

Perrysville, Ind. - Glenn 'Jellybean' D. Bassett, 92, of Perrysville, passed away at 3:40 p.m. EST Saturday, December 14, 2019 at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1927 in Cayuga, Indiana the son of the late Atwood and Pearl Davis Bassett.

Glenn married Irene Wakeland on June 17, 1950 in Catlin, Illinois. She survives.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, Lori (Bob) Townsend of Flagler Beach, Florida; Pam (Bradd) Bowman, Alan Goodwin and Tricia (Ryan) Bush all of Perrysville, Indiana; several great grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one sister, Leona(Phillip)Richardson of Cayuga, Indiana, along with several nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda Taylor and brother, Carl Gene Bassett.

Glenn retired in 2006 from Dyna-Fab as a Traffic Manager/Purchasing Agent. He was a member of the Stringtown Church of God south of Covington, Indiana. Glenn attended Perrysville and Danville schools. He later attended Danville Area Community College. He was a 50 plus year member of the Perrysville Unity Lodge #344 and served as past Worshipful Master for 3 years. He also was a 50 plus year member of the Scottish Rite in Danville, Illinois. Glenn enjoyed spending time outside and with his grandchildren.
