Glenda Monyok

Glenda (Potter) Monyok, 93, of Elkridge, MD., formerly of Catlin passed away peacefully on August 29, 2015 in Columbia, MD. Glenda was born on July 22, 1922 in Danville the daughter of Thomas and Jennie (Scott) Potter. She married Joseph Monyok in 1954; he preceded her in death. Glenda leaves behind two children Jeff (Rita) Monyok of Catlin and Lisa (Nicholas) Badart of Elkridge, MD, also three grandchildren; Heidi (Andy) Newlin of Bridgeport, TX, Darcy (Nick) Sager of Westville and George (Annie) Monyok of Catlin; five-great grandchildren, Pyper Newlin, Wyatt Newlin, Quinn Sager, Norah Sager and Hudson Monyok. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph and one brother Lyle Potter. Glenda was always active: she enjoyed sailing with her husband, loved painting and drawing, ceramic work, and spending time with family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 10am on September 2, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park. Sunset Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in Glenda's name to the local Humane Society.
