Glen McDaniel, 93, of Westville, passed away at 1:55pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Presence USMC, Danville. He was born on January 6, 1922, in Jamestown, IN, the son of Orville and Opal M. {Ross} McDaniel, both deceased. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean MacIntosh until her passing in 1999. Glen proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He worked in construction, but enjoyed woodworking and fixing up old houses. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting. Glen was also a volunteer fire fighter in Westville. He really enjoyed relaxing in the swing, taking rides to Forrest Glen, & visiting with his family at reunions. He will be missed by: his daughter, Sandra Harley of Mill Creek, IN; his five grandchildren; his 8 great grandchildren; his 6 great-great grandchildren; his brother, Chuck McDaniel of Tilton; and his sisters, Ima Jean Atwood, Annabell Atwood, & Opal Mae (Paul) Trapp, all of Westville. He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Judy; his granddaughter, Judy Lynn; five brothers; and one sister. A celebration of Glen's life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Kevin Cox officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to Donor's Choice of Charity.
