Glen H Nicholson

Glen H. Nicholson, 85, of Danville passed away on May 5th, 2015 at his home. He was born on May 31, 1929 in Danville, IL. to William John and Myrtle May (Lewis) Nicholson. Glen married Maretta Barnhart on September 9th, 1950 she preceded him in death on November 17th, 2001. Surviving Glen are five children, one son Michael (Cheryl) Nicholson and four daughters; JoAnn Flynn, Deborah Nichols, Laura Jean (Tom) Frisby and Crystal (Don) Jantzen; six grandchildren Meredith (Shane) Grant, Brooke (Corey) Lanter, Jocelyn Nichols, Leah Frisby, Kaitlyn Jantzen and Anna Jantzen; three great grandchildren Casey Grant, Carly Grant and Samuel Lanter; he will also be missed by a special friend Patricia McCarthy. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Richard and one sister Geraldine Baird. A Celebration of Glen's life will be held Saturday May 9th, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Randy Holden will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers Glen's family asks that memorials be made to The Vermilion County Animal Shelter Foundation.
