Glen D. Mcbride

Glen D. McBride, of Danville passed away at 9:28 am on Sunday October 19, 2008 at St. Claire Hospital in Crawfordsville; In. Glen was born on April 26, 1936 the son of Rolland and Addie McCoy McBride. On July 8, 1956, he married Janice Gail Emory at the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Danville. His beloved wife preceded him in death on August 12, 2008. Glen was the loving father of Glen (Karen) McBride Jr. of Columbia, MO., Debra (James) Fowler of Greenville, NC. , and Brad (Jackie) McBride of Crawfordsville, IN.; proud grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of four. Glen served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a barber for 45 years most recently working out of his home; he also retired from the City of Danville Streets Department. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, mushroom hunting, and especially when he and Janice would take their yearly trips to Wisconsin to spend time at the cabin on the lake fishing. Glen was also an avid Illini Basketball fan. A celebration of Glens life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday October 25, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St... Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials in Glens name may be made to Crossroads Christian Church or the American Diabetes Assc.
