Gladys Waterstradt

Danville - Gladys Waterstradt, 87, of Danville passed away April 10, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville, IL. She was born August 20, 1926 in Licon County, KY, the daughter of Lilburn and Lilly Lay. She married Robert Waterstradt in 1958, he preceded her in death in 1984. Surviving Gladys are brothers, John (Louada) Leigh of Danville, IL, Cecil (Hazel) Lay of Danville, KY; sister Doris (Howard) West of Burgin, KY and many nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Waterstradt, and brothers, Ralph Leigh, Estil Leigh and David Lay. Gladys had a love for shopping and flowers. A celebration of Gladys life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Springhill Cemetery.
