Gladys 'Tootie' Hamilton

Gladys L. Tootie Hamilton, 77, of Danville, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2005 at her home. She was born February 8, 1928 in Danville, the daughter of Ernest M. and Ruth E. (Elkins) Cole. She married Wayne D. Hamilton on August 13, 1952 in Danville, Illinois. Wayne preceded her in death on December 7, 1987. Tootie is survived by: two daughters- Debbie (Steve) Henry of Urbana and Karen (Rich) Stefaniak of Westville; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and one brother " Richard (Wilma) Cole of Westville. In addition to her husband, her parents and one brother " John Cole preceded her in death. She graduated from Danville High School and was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville. She worked at Walden Books in Danville for 27 years. Tootie loved to read, enjoyed music, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
