Gladys Morris

Gladys M. Morris, 84, of Georgetown passed away at 6:25 a.m. Sunday July 13, 2008 at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born on June 29, 1924 in Coulterville, IL the daughter of Milburn and Mary Bouas Hawkins. She married Dale T. Morris on June 29, 1948 in Coulterville, IL. He survives of Georgetown. Other survivors include her son, Herman (Connie) Morris of Danville, her grandchildren, Jessica (Billy) Allen of Laceys Spring, AL, and Dale Morris of Catlin, IL, her great grandchildren, J.D. Morris and Coty, Colton, and Cameron Morris, her sister, Hazel (Bill) Eggiman of Morrisonville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Gladys was a member of the Georgetown Friends Church. She was well known for her sewing and crafts she made for other people. She walked everywhere around town and never met a stranger. She was always thinking of what she could do to help her community. She really enjoyed volunteering and helping the children and Pinecrest Elementary School in Georgetown.
