Gladys Miller

Danville, Ill. - Gladys Miller, 90, of Danville and formerly of Tangier and Howard, Indiana passed away at 2:56 a.m. CDT Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her residence.

She was born February 10, 1927 in Parke County, Indiana the daughter of the late Grover and Rebecca (Decker) Sowers.

Gladys married Richard Miller on June 7, 1975. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1984.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Bollinger of Aurora, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Sonnie Trinkle of Howard, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and one sister, Leoma Sue Lang of Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Torres; 2 sons, Lonnie and Roger Trinkle; great grandson, DeWayne Severado; 5 sisters, Darlene and May Sowers; Ruby Bowman; Bessie Jewell and Dorothy Smedley, and 3 brothers, Alfred; Daniel and Roscoe Sowers.

Gladys was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, yahtzee, bingo, watching T.V. and holding rummage sales at her home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral services: 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 21, 2017 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Kurt Sovine; Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
