Gladys L. Prather

Gladys L. "Aunt Babe" Prather age 76 of Danville passed away unexpectedly in her sleep Friday September 10,2004 at her home. She was born September 8, 1928 in Gessie In the daughter of John D. and Mae Francis Keister Hines. She had married Derald Prather on June 18, 1948 in Danville he preceded her in 1989. Surviving; one daughter Sharon (Jeff) Olds of Roscoe IL, a sister and best friend Norma (Chris) Hughes of Perrysville, a sister in law Bernice Hines of Danville and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her parents and two brothers preceded her. Gladys was retired and her favorite job in her working career was with the Travelers Insurance Company. Gladys enjoyed motor homing with her husband until his passing, and has since enjoyed wintering in Punta Gorda FL where her home was recently damaged by hurricane Charley. She was looking forward to a trip there next month. Gladys loved bargain hunting with her daughter and sister, Gladys loved pulling the handles at the riverboat, going to auctions, shopping and especially spending time with her beloved dog Lady
