Gladys Coyle Russell

Gladys Coyle Russell, 81, of Danville passed away on October 28, 2024 at Goldwater Care in Danville, Illinois. She was born on March 16, 1943 in Danvers, Illinois to the late James and Hazel Coyle. She attended Watseka High School and spent her entire career in the banking industry working her way up to the title of Vice President.

Gladys was not only a huge Elvis fan, but an avid Cubs fan as well. She always had her fingernails painted and enjoyed playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her sister Margarie Gross. She is survived by her daughter LeAnn (Chris) Gallion, her husband Don Russell, and grandchildren Kendra (Eric) Hepburn, Morgan (Wesley) Arthur, and Jacob Gallion. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Lillian JoAnn & Parker James Michael Hepburn, sisters Barbara (Don) Brown and Carolyn (Bill) Ignatuk, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Colonial Manor/ Goldwater Care for the wonderful care provided to Gladys over the years.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:30 am at Body Cemetery in Watseka. She will be placed to rest next to her parents. Online condolences and fond memories can be shared with her family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
