Gilbert Parrill

Gilbert "Gib" Parrill 80, of Champaign, IL. formerly of Allerton, IL, Rapid City, SD, and Arrey, NM. passed away on December 13, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on February 18, 1942 in Allerton, IL. the son of James and Neva (Cooper) Parrill. They precede him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Parrill; son Troy Parrill, grandchildren Alina Parrill, Andrew Parrill, Crystal Parrill, Thomas Parrill, Myriah Parrill, Becky Parrill, Erynn Parrill and special friend, Carly.

Prior to his retirement, Gilbert worked as a Machinist, Engineer, Bus/Tour Driver and Furniture Restorer. He enjoyed puzzles, playing euchre, adult coloring books, woodworking and spending time with his family. Gib will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents; first spouse, Charlotte Parrill; brothers, Harlis (Cork) and Marvin; son, Jeff Parrill and granddaughter, Shannon Flaten.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 6-7pm with a service following at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL. 61820.
