Gilbert Lester Nelson

Gilbert Lester Nelson , 83, of Danville passed away at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, December 7,2006 at Illiana Healthcare System. He was born August 13,1923 the son of Edward Gilbert and Elva Mae Nelson. He married Rosalie Ellen Hugg on December 19,1948 she preceded him on November 23,2001. Surviving are his daughters Sherrie (Charles) Hanson of York,PA and Bonnie Jean White of Danville,IL. Grandchildren Michael Jenkins, Leslie (Michael) Myers, Jamie Edwards, Teri (Steven) Labbe, John and Troy Edwards also 12 great grandchildren and a brother Harold Robert (Gloria) Nelson of Danville. Also a dear friend Mary Tutwiler. He was preceded by his parents, wife and son Lester Harold Nelson. Gilbert enjoyed fishing and playing cards. A celebration of life service for Gilbert Nelson will be at 1:00p.m. on Monday, December 11,2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation one hour prior. Officiating Rev. James Blue.
