Geraldine Morfey

Geraldine Lee Morfey, 80, of Champaign passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023. She was born in Champaign on May 8, 1942, the daughter of Gerald and Betty (Bales) Barnett. Geraldine married Roger G. Morfey on January 21, 1961, in Champaign.

Geraldine is survived by her three daughters, Ardella Maxwell, Lisa (Scott) Heffley, Staci Bussey; grandchildren, Holly Maxwell, Jeremy Maxwell, Drew Heffley, Conner Bussey; great granddaughter, Ella Heffley; siblings, Donna Zook, Richard (Jeannie) Barnett, Diana (Tom) Shaw, Wilma (Mike) Dyson, Bill (Cathy) Barnett and David Barnett.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Betty, and husband of 54 years, Roger.

Geraldine was a kind and loving woman who truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Memorial Services will be at 11am on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Mahomet Christian Church, 908 N. Lake of the Woods Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Geraldines honor to the American Heart Association.
