Geraldine Marie Delp

Catlin - Geraldine Marie Delp, 76, passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on April 21, 1940 in Danville, IL to Theodore Roosevelt and Alice Agnes (Sands) Hunt. Gerry married William Delp on January 19, 1962 in Westville, IL. Gerry is survived by her sons John Dison, Darrell Dison, and Gregory (Nancy) Dison; grandchildren Tondia, Billy, J.J., and Luke; six great-grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Debbie) Hunt and Robert (Rita) Hansbrough; sisters Roberta Bland, Pauline (John) Jones, Patricia (Gary) Mockbee, Barbara Devore, and Shirley (Ed) Burris. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Delbert Hansbrough. Gerry loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and cooking, and she loved listening to western and country music. A celebration of Gerry's life will be held on Monday July 25, 2016 at 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville, IL. Pastor Zach LeCrone will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 24, 2016 from 3-5pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gerry's name to First United Methodist Church.
