Gerald Sarver

Gerald W. Sarver, 87, of Rantoul, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2025, at OSF Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was born on November 13th, 1937, in Pembroke, Virginia. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring after 27 years of service in 1984 as a Master Sergeant. 

Gerald was a proud family man who loved traveling, woodworking, playing cards, and playing his favorite board game Pollyanna. 

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Pauline Sarver, their children, Lori (Tim) Jones of Rantoul, Jeff (Andrea) Sarver of Champaign, daughter in law, Gayle Sarver of Tennessee, grandchildren, Megan (Dennis) Baird, Haley (Chris) Appelbaum, Hanna (David) Tadlock, Kellen Sarver, Joel Sarver, and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Sarver, his parents, Annabelle and Earnest E. Sarver, and his brother, Rodney L. Sarver. 

The military graveside memorial service will be held at the Danville National Cemetery, date and time still pending. Please check back for an official date.
