Gerald Moreman

Gerald M. Moreman, 52, of Westville, passed away at 6:06pm, Saturday, November 19, 2011, in rural Georgetown. He was born on August 18, 1959, in Danville, IL, the son of Linden G. and Marianne R. Moreman. He is survived by: his mother, Marianne; his son, Matthew M. Moreman; and his daughter, Jessica N. Moreman; his sister, Paula J. Miller; his brother, Kenny (Lori) Moreman; special nephew, Bobby (April) Pundt; his nieces, Misty, Jill, & Kristen; his great-nephew, Austin Thompson; his close friends, Mark & Wanda Pate; and dear Aunt & Uncle, Dean & Berta Blakeney; as well as many others who were part of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Linden. Gerald was a truck driver for McLane Midwest the last twelve years. Prior to following the family tradition of trucking, he worked for Eagles Grocery Store and Butternut Bread Company. He was a graduate of St. Mary's Grade School and Westville High School. Gerald was an avid sports fan, especially playing softball, following auto racing, the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers Football. He took great pride in his children and his work ethic and was always there when you needed him. A celebration of Gerald's life will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. Visitation will be held 4-8pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Westville Santa's Anonymous.
