Gerald Mcmullen

Denver, Colorado -- Gerald D. McMullen, 89, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Newport, Indiana passed away at 11 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. He was born February 25, 1917 in Newport, Indiana the son of the late Crawford and Norma Williams McMullen. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, William Bishop and Walter Max Bishop, a nephew. Gerald is survived by a sister, Imogene Bishop of Newport, a nephew, Thomas H. Bishop of Cinton and a niece, Jane (Don) Coonce of Cayuga. Gerald was a 1935 graduate of Newport High School and was a 1944 graduate of Purdue University. He was an engineer for G.E. in Denver for many years, retiring in 1982. He was an avid sports fan, an avid reader and enjoyed listing to his favorite music. Graveside service and burial: 11 AM EDT, Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana.
