Georgianna 'Georgie' Brewer

Tilton - Georgianna Kay "Georgie" Brewer, 63, of Tilton, passed away at 7:53 PM on October 4, 2015 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on September 13, 1952 in Danville, IL to Forrest and Betty (Barker) Dawes. She married Lonny Maxwell on December 24, 1970 in Danville. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2006. She then married Gilbert Brewer in Tilton on February 12, 2011. He survives. She is also survived by a son Chase (Rebecca) Maxwell of Georgetown; two step-daughters, Tracy Amos and Joann Monroe; a sister, Linda Rogers; two grandchildren, Peyton and Wyett Maxwell; step-grandchildren, Geana, Sara, Jamie, Clayton Brewer and Colin Amos; special friends, Connie Hanson, Jo Laker, and Bill and Patty Gardiner; nieces, Susie, Jamie and Lori; several step-great grandchildren, and a nephew, Chucky. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by three infant children, Susan, Dustin, and Troy Maxwell. Georgie was a 1970 graduate of DHS. She had been a nurse for 25 years, retiring after 16 years with the VA Hospital in Danville. She enjoyed listening to music and loved spending time with her grandkids. A service to celebrate the life of Georgie Brewer will be held at 10 AM on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 8, also at Sunset in Danville.
