Georgene K. Bath, 66, of Danville, passed away on May 31, 2015 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on July 4, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Joe and Mary (Dukes) Mikel. She married Ed Bath on August 23, 1969 in Westville, IL, he survives. Georgene will be deeply missed by her husband, Ed, sister-in-laws; Janice, Emily, Lenora, Edie and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jeanine Pabst. Georgene worked at AT&T for 32 years, retiring in 1998. She loved traveling, spending time outdoors and gardening flowers. The southwest culture became part of her life, she incorporated it into decorating her house where she had many parties for all of her friends she loved so much. Ed would like to thank everyone who helped them in the last year through her illness, especially her best friends Darlene and Tom Herman. A celebration of life memorial service for Georgene will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Reverend Randall Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials can be made to the Danville Humane Society, American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
