Georgeann Burke

Georgeann Mick Burke, 82, of Danville, passed away at 3:25 am on Monday, November 20, 2006 at Manor Care in Champaign. She was born on September 17, 1924 in Danville the daughter of Jess and Grace (Smith) Tucker. She married C.G. Pat Burke on July 1, 1953 in Danville. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2001. Mick is survived by one brother: David Tucker of Tennessee; three sisters: Rosemary Brannon of Punta Gorda, FL, Dixie Qualls of Gulf Port, Mississippi, and Sally Tucker of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Pat. Mick worked at G.E. in Danville as a buyer, purchasing supplies for the whole plant. While working there she served as a hostess when Ronald Regan visited the plant. She retired from G.E. in 1984. She then began work as a bank teller at Palmer Bank and First National Bank. Mick and her husband Pat went everywhere together. They enjoyed spending the winters down in Florida. They loved animals especially their cats. Mick enjoyed the outdoors and target shooting.
