George W. Fellmeth

George W. Fellmeth of Danville, passed away on September 2, 2015. He was born December 27, 1929 in Chicago Heights, Ill. to George F. I and Mildred S. (Smalley) Fellmeth. George proudly served our country in the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict. He worked at Motorola and retired from RCA where he was an Industrial Engineer. Following his retirement he had a business named "Photography by George" which he ran for about six years. George was the type of person who enjoyed tinkering with many things. He liked to build and create things like wooden boxes that lit up. He also built a car for his children. George enjoyed crunching numbers, tracking commodities, working with computers when they were first emerging and was a pilot who loved flying. George was a personable man who will be dearly missed by his children, George F. Fellmeth II and Gaynell S. Fellmeth of Danville. He was preceded in death by his dear wife Norma Williams Fellmeth with whom he was united in marriage December 27, 1957; and by his parents. A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sep. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Celebration of George's life on Wednesday, Sep. 9, 11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N.
