George Sherren

George E. Sherren, 80, of Danville passed away on October 12, 2007 at VA Illiana Health Care Systems. George was born February 15, 1927 in Petersburg, IL son of George Lee and Minnie Mae Fairow Sherren. He married Anita Jacob on January 20, 1968. George is survived by Brother: Kenneth Leroy Sherren of Greenville, WI; Sisters: Betty Kiper of Petersburg, Il & Maxine Reller of Silvis, IL and also, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Anita. George attended schools in Petersburg and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for Teepak as a serviceman for several years before retiring. He spent many hours pulling pranks on family, friends and co-workers. A Celebration of Georges Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
