Danville- George Moulton, 84, of Danville, passed away on March 2, 2015 at his home. George was born on June 15, 1930 in Danville, the son of Robert and Lula (Johnson) Moulton Sr. He married Beverly June Moulton in 1952 and later they divorced but remained very close friends until Georges passing. She survives. He will be deeply missed by two sons, Stephen Moulton of Danville, Tim (Karen) Moulton of Oakwood, step grandchildren, Amie (Tim) Evans, John (Annie) Knapp Jr., three step-great grandchildren, Alysia, Henry and Eleanor, one nephew, Charles (Sherry) Redman of Georgetown, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Bobby Moulton Jr., Joseph Moulton and Lois Redman. George worked as an Electronic Technician for General Electric in Danville for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He loved music and especially playing honkey tonk on his piano. He was a handy man that was always fixing something around the house. He had a love for nickelodeon pianos and HAM Radio. Over the last couple years he enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Me TV, old western shows and John Wayne. A celebration of Georges life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Chaplin Karen Jersild officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the funeral home. George will be laid to rest at Johnson Cemetery in Danville. Memorials can be made to Harbor Light Hospice.
