WESTVILLE - George J. Giuliani, 86, of Westville, passed away at 2:40pm on Thursday, September 16, 2004, at North Logan Health Care Center of Danville. He was born on September 27th, 1917, in Westville the son of Angelo and Paulina Marke Giuliani. He was united in marriage to Lola Dolly' Acord on June 14th, 1941, in St. Charles, MO. She preceded him in death on January 11, 1987. Those who will greatly miss George include: his children, Jim (Marna) Giuliani and Darlene (Chuck) Jones, both of Westville; his sister, Gloria Hardesty of Midland, TX; his grandchildren, Cheryl (Steve) Bennett, Michael Urban, Tammy (Troy) Tranchant, Jacinta (Roy) Tapia, Nicole Giuliani, and his special grandson, Camron (Tawnya) Giuliani, to whom he had a special relationship; three step-grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, including Joshua, C.J., Cody, & Kyle, who came to grandpa's house on Sundays to have breakfast with him; 4 step great grandchildren, including his special step great grandson, Logan Kirby. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister-Anna, & two brothers-Emile & Albert. He served in the US Army from 1941 - 1945 as a Tech Sergeant. He worked at the VA in Danville for 26 years. He was also employed by the Village of Westville and had been a coal miner. He was a member of the American Legion Post #51 and the AFGE Union.
