George "Bill" Tryon

Cayuga, Ind. - George "Bill" Tryon, 89, of Cayuga, Indiana passed away at 12:05 p.m. EDT Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 15, 1927 in Shadey Grove, Indiana the son of the late Albert J. and Florence (Hughes) Tryon. He married Barbara Swaim on June 12, 1955 in Cayuga, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Linda (Larry) Dal Sasso of Clinton, Indiana; son, Bill J. (Lorrie Harper) Tryon of Cayuga, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jeremy; Tabatha; Tommy; Chelsea and Malia, and six great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Bill retired as a truck driver from Colonial Brick in Cayuga. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army. Bill was a member of the former Cayuga Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed woodworking, driving his semi, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Red Skelton. He especially loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev.
