Genevieve Beasley

Genevieve Beasley, 78, of Danville, died at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2006, at North Logan Health Care Center. Genevieve was born January 26, 1928, in Eusley Township, Newaygo County, Michigan, the daughter of Lloyd D. and Veda (Bixby) Welton. She married Elbert B. Beasley, Jr. on June 11, 1960. He preceded her in death. Genevieve is survived by a son, Peter (Joanne) Fischer of Danville; four daughters, Marilee (Cliff) Colbert of Mattoon, Illinois, Rachel (Rick) McQuown of Chrisman, Illinois, Sarah Lomax of Danville, and Donalea (Terry) Leathers of Pontiac, Illinois ; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers . She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great grandchild, a sister, and two brothers. Genevieve had worked at the Box Board factory and the Tinker Toy factory at one time, but she was mainly a homemaker. She was a wonderful artist and an avid reader. Genevieve was loved by everyone. She was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene.
