Geneva Hepburn, 94, of Beech Grove formerly of Ridge Farm went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Beech Grove Meadows in Beech Grove, Indiana. Geneva was born on March 23, 1929, in Fithian, IL, the daughter of Henry (Clay) and Mary Lou (Parrish) Lewis. Geneva married the love of her life Carl Hepburn and spent her time with him until his passing on April 15, 2009.
Geneva leaves behind her children; Larry (Lynn) Hepburn, Cyndi (Arthur Meyers) Kegley and Daughter-in-law Debra Hepburn, her grandchildren Andy (Emily) Hepburn, Aaron (Carrie) Hepburn, Allen Hepburn, Meghan Hepburn, Stephanie Hepburn, Korie Kegley, Eric (Kendra) Hepburn; great grandchildren Logan (Angela) Hepburn, Alex (Megan) Hepburn, Katie (Chase) Arihood, Lauren Hepburn, Noah Hepburn, James Hepburn, Triston Hepburn, Austin Grider, Rylan Smith, Vivian Grider, Lillian Hepburn, Parker Hepburn and Kolby Holt; great great grandchildren, Isaac Hepburn and Luke Arihood.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, her sons, Michael, and Randall, and her great grandson Simon Hepburn and10 brothers and sisters (Myrtle, Edmund, Opal, Earcle, Ruby, Alberta, Oscar, Pauline, Homer and Donald).
Geneva was a nurse who enjoyed helping and caring for the people that needed her. She enjoyed traveling the world, going on missionary trips with Carl, and traveling to visit family, and of course each trip she always brought back a plate for a souvenir. She was always ready to go hop in Carls plane and fly somewhere even just for a diet coke. She love spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. While living in Illinois Geneva was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Geneva was on a Bowling League, enjoyed crafting and loved her Chicago Bulls. Many say, "There was never a dull moment when Geneva was around". Geneva was loved much and will be missed by all.
A celebration of Genevas life will be held at 1pm on Saturday January 20, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 200 E West Street Georgetown, IL. 61846. Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday 11am 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL following the service.
