Genell Weaver

Genell Weaver, 75, of Danville, formerly of Catlin, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Provena U.S.M.C. " Logan Campus in Danville. She was born May 11, 1930 in Guin, Alabama, the daughter of Henry and Viola (Knight) Mayo. She married James M. Weaver in November, 1954 in Mississippi. James preceded her in death on September 30, 1973. Genell is survived by: three sons- Jesse Markham of Houston, TX, Donald (Brenda) Markham of Kimberling City, MO, Bob (Cheryl) Weaver of Danville; one daughter- Kimberla (Garry) Swaney of Williamsport, IN; ten grandchildren- Jessica, Natalie, Brandon, Christy, April, Lacey, Selaine, Hillary, Heather and Jason; seven great-grandchildren " Ashley, Thomas, Meghan, Madison, Gage, Amaya and Aja; two great-great granddaughters; one sister Dot (James) Hawk of Phoenix, AZ and a special friend- Margaret Passo of Westville. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. She worked at Windbreaker, G.E. and MFG, and later did home childcare from 1980-1992. She was a member of the Frontier Twirlers, and enjoyed square dancing with her husband. Genell spent all of her time taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved music, enjoyed word-search and cross-word puzzles and loved to garden.
