Gene Clifton of Danville, passed away on July 9, 2015. He was born January 16, 1937 in Farmer City, Ill. to William and Winnie (Marcum) Clifton. Gene worked at Lincoln Land Oil for 11 years and ran a furniture restoration business called Classic Frames and Antiques with his wife Betty for approximately 10 years. He enjoyed custom cars and street rods. He liked to work on and help restore them. Gene was a member of the Good Guys Car Club for years. Gene is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Frazier) Clifton, with whom he was united in marriage October 30, 1980; he will also be missed by his step sons, David and Ron Frazier, whom he considered them as his own and loved them dearly; and by a dear grandchild, Zack Frazier; and other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Waller; and by his mother and father in-law, Warren and Betty Cancil. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sep. 12, at 12 p.m. at Danville United Church of Christ, 618 E. Main St., Danville, Ill. Interment will be private.
