Gayle Taylor

Gayle Taylor, 83, of Covington, IN formerly of Danville, IL passed away at her daughters home on December 13, 2023 in Covington, IN.

Gayle was born on August 5, 1940 the daughter of Samuel and Helen Inez (Williams) Binford in Sikeston, MO. She married Kenneth Taylor on April 12, 1967 in Sikeston, MO and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1993.

Survivors include her daughter, Alyson (Joel) Ferren of Covington and two grandchildren, Noah (Holly) Ferren of Charleston, IL and Emma Ferren of Peoria, IL, as well as her beloved dog "Molly".

Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Taylor and one brother, Gene Binford.

Gayle was active in the churches she attended, especially those led by her son-in-law, and had a strong faith in our Lord. She enjoyed spending her free time reading, watching NASCAR racing and cheering for Kevin Harvick, as well as watching college basketball and rooting for the Duke Blue Devils.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gayles memory to the Humane Society.
