Gaurang Sharadbhai Patel

Gaurang Sharadbhai Patel, 56, of Danville, IL passed away at 11:08 PM on November 15, 2025 at St Louis University Hospital in St Louis, MO.

Gaurang was born on October 22, 1969 in Ahmedabad India the son of Sharadbhai and Sharadaben (Gordhanbhai) Patel. He married Harikala Raje on August 2, 1998 in Ahmedabad India and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Harikala Gaurang Patel of Danville, IL, his children, Shivangi Gaurang Patel of Danville, IL and Shiv Gaurang Patel of Danville, IL, his mother, Sharadaben Patel of Danville, IL, one grandchild, Quevan Williams of Danville, IL and one brother, Tarunkumar (Kalindi) Patel of Danville, IL.

Gaurang is preceded in death by his father.

Gaurang was an electrical engineer and owned and operated his own liquor store in Danville, IL. He enjoyed spending his free time watching Cricket and movies, singing songs, and spending time with his family and friends. Gaurang also enjoyed eating a variety of foods and cooking; especially his amazing bhurji (scrambled eggs).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the funeral home.
