Gary Brent Moody, age 61, of Danville, passed away at 11:20 pm on May 28, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born September 4, 1947 in Danville, IL the son of Albert and Mable Elizabeth (Dunning) Moody. Gary married Lois Jean Pickett on December 4, 1966 in Danville. She survives. Also surviving Gary are two sons: Nick (Angela) Moody of Danville, Brent (Heather Christ) Moody of Danville; a daughter: Susan (Harold) Heaton of Danville; one brother: Lyle Moody of Florida; nine grandchildren: Alicia, Benjamin, and Anna Leigh Moody, Jessica, Matthew, and Levi Heaton, Brigette, Jaret, and Grant Moody. His parents preceded him in death. Gary worked as a transportation manager for Interstate Printers and Publishers, Central States Distribution Center, and JELD-WEN Corporation. He liked to ride horses and fish. He loved his Farmall Tractor and baseball. Gary was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. What he enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Gary was a member of Anchor Lodge 980 in Danville, a 33 degree Mason and member of York Rite and Scottish Rite, and a member of the GAO Grotto. Gary was also a member of the Danville Rotary Club and the First Baptist Church of Danville. A celebration of the life of Gary Moody will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Danville with Pastor Jerry Cummins officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
